Megan and Kris

This post is long overdue. I photographed Megan and Kris' wedding at the end of November in McComb, MS. Megan is beautiful and so laid back. Kris is a firefighter in McComb...I knew a couple of his groomsmen from a wedding I photographed last year, so it was fun to catch up with them. Their reception was definitely a party!

April Smallwood and Dusty Matthews

April and Dusty got married in Bude, MS. I only know where Bude is because my dad was born close by in McCall Creek, MS.

This was the picture April chose as her bridal portrait. It turned out beautiful!

Their wedding was December 6, the same day as the SEC Championship. The groomsmen all were trying to figure out how they would know who was winning during the ceremony, so the sound man put two cups up. Blue for Florida, red for Alabama. If Florida was winning, he would put the blue cup up. At this point, the teams were tied.

The wedding director....

This was Dusty's groom's cake. It was incredible!!!

Everyone threw "snow" at Dusty and April when they left. It got all over April but it was beautiful.

April Smallwood

Here are a few of April's bridal portraits that we took a few months ago. April and her sister, Kari, and I went all around Clinton taking pictures.

Ole Miss

Anyone who knows Will knows he's crazy about Ole Miss. He writes plays out on his hand and makes our dogs run the routes. He has two plays he has named "Half back Barbara" after my mom and "Left side Leroy" after my dad. Thanksgiving Day we ate lunch with the Ole Miss football team. (My brother is the Athletic Trainer. He's the one on the right helping the player off the field in this picture). Will wanted to give his two plays to Coach Nutt at lunch. When I told him we were going to eat with the team, we had friends warn him not to try to touch anyone or ask for an autograph or take a picture with them.

Okay, he's really not that obsessed, but we like to make fun of him. His family groves every game. They have the table that is in every picture - you know, with a beautiful flower arrangement, enough food for the whole football team, etc. I don't think we've ever taken a family picture, so we had someone snap one of us.

The last picture is of Clint and Megan. They are great! They are my biggest photography fans (besides my mom), and they stalk my blog (or so they say).

Thanksgiving and sock monkeys

We had a crazy Thanksgiving. We had dinner with my parents in Oxford Wednesday night and then went to the Ole Miss basketball game. It's been a long time since I've been to the Tad Pad. My parents have a pet rabbit. Well, they had two, but one "hopped south for the winter" according to my nephew Hayden. Here are a couple of picture of the rabbit.

My mom has also started making sock monkeys. I knew Paul Frank was a sock monkey, but I've never seen one in person. They have so much personality. I almost felt like I was photographing real people. If you're interested in buying a sock monkey, email me and I'll get you in touch with my mom. She can personalize it for you. They really are cute!

Lizzie Fortenberry and Eric Bebber

Lizzie and Eric are such a beautiful couple. Lizzie and I knew each other in high school when we were both members of the Mississippi Baptist All State Youth Choir (I know, Will is the musical one in the family, right?). I was so excited when she first contacted me about photographing her wedding. We had coffee in Jackson and caught up on our lives for the past 10 years. Their wedding was beautiful, in Provine Chapel on campus at Mississippi College. Here is a preview of some of their pictures....
