When Will and I lived in Jackson, we were in a small group at church with Will and Alicia Mattern. I always loved them because they were just really honest about who they are and where they are in life. Recently when my friend Sara Beth got married, Alicia was a bridesmaid, and we reconnected. This is their baby girl, Ally. She is so precious and has features of both her mom and dad! Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys!
Cary and Aaron got married September 27 at Galloway Methodist in Jackson. We realized a really weird connection when I first met with Cary about photographing her wedding. Her sister and brother in law lived across the street from my parents in Oxford while I was in college and Trey was in law school. I love photographing in downtown Jackson, and I also loved their reception venue - the MS Arts and Crafts Center in Ridgeland.
Today I took pictures at Aurora Flight Sciences in Columbus. They manufacture unmanned aircraft. It was really amazing to see everything they produce - and who knew it was made in MS! Senator Thad Cochran and Congressman Travis Childres were there to support our community and this great small business!
We took Angela and Patrick's engagement pictures on campus at MS State. Now, I am a huge Ole Miss fan, but I do have to admit the State campus has some beautiful places for photographs. One of my favorite of Angela and Patrick is the State circle they are standing on in the Union. I can't wait to photograph their wedding!
Emily and Bradley are getting married in February in Oxford. My sister in law has been cutting Emily's hair for many years, and referred me. (If you need a hair dresser in Oxford, please go to my sister in law, Kari, who is at La Rousse Salon and Spa). I was in town for a football game and met Emily and Bradley at Rowan Oak (William Faulkner's house) for their engagement pictures.
Saumya is a senior at St. Andrew's in Jackson. Isn't she beautiful? We took her pictures at Reunion neighborhood in Madison. We had lots of fun...except for getting bitten by mosquitos!
