Two nights ago, Will and I both woke up at 4:30 am. For anyone who knows us, you know we are NOT morning people. We both tossed and turned in bed (fighting our two boxers to have room) and finally decided to just get up. Will turned on Fox news; I started reading Harry Potter again. Well, I quickly fell back asleep only to be woken up by Will yelling, "Renee, look at the tv. Look who it is." By the time I found my glasses and could actually SEE the tv, there was a mug shot of a man they were saying was an accused terrorist on the screen. Will kept saying, "We know her. We know her. We photographed her wedding." I was so confused until it went back to the news reporter, and it was Stacy!!! Last month we photographed a wedding in Booneville. Stacy and Cory both live in North Carolina now, but Cory grew up in Booneville, so they braved the Mississippi heat to get married here. Stacy is a news reporter at a tv station in the Raleigh/Durham area, where they arrested the "accused terrorist." It was so fun to be able to watch her on tv (even though it was 5 am)! Cory is a camera man for a different news station, so they are both in broadcast media. The bad thing about us waking up so early is that we went back to sleep at 7 and didn't wake up again until 10:30. Whew - I can't do that very often...it messes up my whole day!
Here are a few pictures from their wedding/reception. Will took this first picture (He is really turning out to be a great photographer even though he is more inclined to video).
The reception was at Cory's parent's house in Booneville. Their door knocker...
Stacy got dressed in the bedroom Cory grew up in. I couldn't resist taking a picture of her wedding dress hanging next to a picture of him in high school!
Her shoes were INCREDIBLE!!! Cory wore a searsucker suit, so her shoes matched perfectly!
And an Ole Miss garter!
The cake....
The preacher signing the marriage license...
Who doesn't love a jeep with an Ole Miss tag???
Their reception was outside in June. It was hot to say the least! The ice sculpture was beautiful...as it melted, we laughed because the bride looked more like a dolphin. Eventually, the head of the bride fell into the coctail sauce. Stacy and Cory have a great sense of humor and just laughed it off!

Lea and Michelle
Lea and Michelle went to the Bahamas to get married, but they had a reception in Gulfport a couple of weeks ago. Will and I went down for the reception, which was on the roof of an Italian restaurant (Salute) - it was beautiful! Congrats Michelle and Lea!
I love when I run into people at a wedding and I've photographed their wedding. Kris and Megan got married in November.
Michelle dancing with her brother, Ryan. He's awesome!
Why do guys always dance with their tongue out?
After the reception was over, Lea, Michelle, Ryan and her mom jumped in the pool at the hotel. I love people who dare to be different!
