Blair Faulkner

One of the joys I have as a photographer is documenting people's lives, their journey in life. Our sweet friends Blair and Rachel Faulkner have two precious children that I've had the opportunity to photograph. I photographed Campbell as a newborn - here are a few pictures from the photo shoot.

One of the blessings of living in Columbus is our friends at the Air Force base. Blair was a reservist and trained pilots. Yesterday he was in a plane crash and both he and the other pilot were killed. We've grieved the loss of a dear friend, but more so our prayers are with Rachel.

I love this picture of Blair holding Campbell.

Your pictures are beautiful and I'm sure they will treasure those pictures forever. We started going to Mt Vernon at the beginning of the year, and you came and spoke at the MOPS group I attend last fall. My husband also flies 38s on base. It's just such a tragedy, but comforting to know where Blair is...Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I met Blair in Officer's School and he is honestly one of the nicest men I have ever met. I went to pilot training as he went to navigator training and we kept in touch and met each other several times throughout the year. He was in San Antonio, I in Del Rio, TX. We had not seen each other in years and met in a restaurant in Destin, Florida while we were both vacationing with our families. I am a pilot for Continental Airlines and was very excited when I found out Blair had been hired here. We tried numerous times to try and get the same flight schedule before he went on military leave but couldn't ever seem to get the same schedule. Blair is a true American hero, one of the nicest persons I have ever met. God bless your family and you will be in my prayers. He truly was the best of the best.

I miss my friend. I connected with you and Will at the Youth Ministers Retreat in November. Of course we talked about how much Blair loved Will and how God used Will in his life. Thats Blair, always seeking people out and allowing them to invest into him so he could invest in others. Our last talk was about me seeing in Will what he saw. It now is such a special thing that we share. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I know Rachel, Blair, Davis and Campbell through Mops. What incredible pictures. What a treasure for those children for the rest of their lives. We have all been blessed to have known Blair.
