Will's cousin (she's my cousin too) got married in Seaside a couple of weeks ago. It was beautiful - she should be on the cover of a magazine. Here are a few pictures I captured.

The Hickmans

We've known the Hickmans for several years - they tailgate in the grove with Will's family. Haley and Michael's twins are precious - they are mini me's of Haley and Michael. It was hard to get everyone to look at the camera and smile at the same time, but we captured a few. The last two photos are Clint wishing he were a senior in high school again!

Ok, so I've been doing these family pictures for Christmas cards. It's made me start listening to Christmas music already. I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet. We have friends in Jackson - Emily and Van Hardin - who every year give a CD as their Christmas card. Because of them, I have some really fun Christmas music. Mandy and Stephen Lawrence

Mandy and Stephen were married October 27 at FBC in Columbus. Their reception was at the Puckett House on the campus of the W. I love some of these pictures! They were such a fun and easy couple to photograph.

Campbell Marie Faulkner

Our sweet friends Rachel and Blair Faulkner just had a baby girl October 26. I was able to photograph her when she was just 6 days old! She is precious. As you can see in the pictures, it turned into a mini photo shoot of Davis, her big brother! (And there's even a picture of their dog!). I can't wait to take many more pictures of Davis and Campbell as they grow older.

The Hammack Family

Here are the pictures from another family shoot I did a couple of weekends ago. Their daughter Chloe had so many facial expressions. She had just begun to walk, so we were able to document that in pictures! Enjoy.

The Grady Family

This fall I have been doing family portraits for a fundraiser for MOPS. This was my first family, and I just love their twins. They were so fun to watch - they had unique personalities that I hope you can see in the pictures.

Will and I rarely have our picture taken, so I hardly have any pictures of us together. This was a couple of weeks ago at our friends' wedding reception in Destin, Florida.

Isabel and Sam

Isabel and Sam are getting married in December in Oxford. I actually went to high school with Isabel's sister, Natalie, and we took piano from the same teacher. We suffered through piano recitals together! Isabel teaches school, and Sam is a landscape major at State, so we took their engagement pictures close to State's campus. Laura and Chris were married October 6 in downtown Jackson. They both work at the William Morris Group. They had a beautiful Catholic mass and a great reception. Hope you enjoy!

Catherine & Rockie's engagement pictures

Catherine and Rockie are getting married December 15 in Philadelphia. Here are a few of their engagement pictures that I really liked. Rockie brought their motorcycle, and we got some fun shots on it.

Last week I took pictures at our church's day care. Wow! It was pretty intense with some of the little ones crying. Overall I enjoyed it and was pleased. Hope you enjoy!

meredith's bachelorette weekend

Will's cousin, Meredith, is getting married November 10 in Seaside. This weekend was her bachelorette party/weekend. Friday night she had a lingerie shower in Brandon and then Saturday we headed for New Orleans. These pictures are a slight deviation from the wedding pictures I normally show on my blog, but I thought it would be fun to show a snapshot of my weekend.




We stayed at the Ritz Carlton and ate at the hotel restaurant, Melange, in a "cheater's booth." Here is a picture of our group and the couple "next door" to us.

Meredith had to wear a veil and crown that said "Bachelorette". For some reason, people kept telling her, "Happy Birthday" all night. We couldn't figure it out.

Emanuels

Our friends Jonathan and Sara and their girls, Emily and Elli, are moving from Columbus to Chattanooga. They asked me to take a few pictures of them at their house before they moved. Aren't they beautiful?

Elizabeth and Mike (and John Grisham)

Elizabeth Bryant and Mike Nickoles were married in Calhoun City last weekend. The church was beautiful, as was Elizabeth. Her uncle is John Grisham, and he was at the wedding. I only took one picture of him (much to the disappointment of my mom) because I didn't want to act like paparazzi! Scroll down to see him toasting the couple.

Last Saturday I photographed a wedding at Luckett Lodge outside of Jackson. It was a beautiful fall-ish day - perfect for a wedding! Click below to start their slideshow. They danced their first dance to "You Are My Sunshine." I've been wanting to use that song in a slideshow. My mom used to sing it to me to wake me up every morning when I was growing up. A few weeks ago I took pictures of a family in Columbus. Here are a few of their children. The last shot we took was all of them jumping into their pool - fully clothed! The girls loved it. Their college son, Jordan, wasn't so convinced it was a good idea.

The Doctors Cole

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing Carla and Sam Cole's wedding. Their minister performed a sweet ceremony at Galloway United Methodist Church. Sam grew up at Galloway, and he has slid down the rail inside since he was a little kid. (That is why he's sliding down the rail in one of the pictures). Their reception was at the Jackson Yacht Club, and they "sailed" away on a sail boat. They had planned to go to Jamaica on their honeymoon, but Hurricane Dean postponed that until March. So they are in the mountains of Georgia this week. Carla is a great dentist, and Sam is in his residency for OB. Congrats Carla and Sam!

Corrie and Jonathan Kiel

You may recognize this couple from their engagement pictures. Corrie and Jonathan got married last weekend in Clinton, and the reception was at the new MS Museum of Art in downtown Jackson. The wedding was beautiful. Her father performed the ceremony. He told a story that when he and his wife found out they were pregnant 25 years ago with Corrie, the name they had picked out for a boy was Jonathan. So, his wife finally got her Jonathan! It was so sweet. Corrie is beautiful, and you can tell they are in love. The music to this slideshow is by the Fruit Bats, and we had picked this song to play in our all girl band, "The Barnettes," (we never hit it big).

Happy Birthday Anna!

Our next door neighbor's daughter, Anna, turned one Saturday. They invited us to her birthday party, so of course I took my camera. They gave Anna a miniature birthday cake, and she immediately






They eventually had to take the cake away from her for fear of a tummy ache. She was not happy!




The day was complete with Anna's older sister Lizzie helping open presents and Anna playing with the wrapping paper!

I haven't posted in a while. I'm working on a new website that hopefully will launch soon - stay tuned!

I have a couple of shoots that I will post as soon as I edit them....a birthday party and a family.

Will and I have been busy in Columbus. It's been good to have a break over the past couple of weeks, but I'm excited about the upcoming weddings I have. Next weekend is my good friend Corrie, and the next weekend is another friend Carla (if you need a dentist in Jackson, call me, and I'll give you Carla's number!). I'll post slideshows of their weddings as soon as possible.

Maia and Justin

So I have finally finished editing the pictures from Maia and Justin's wedding in Florida. The ceremony was beautiful. It was my first beach wedding! Lily and Meg

Meet Lily and Meg, two precious little girls. Before I took their pictures, their mom told me Lily is terrified of pictures because they took her picture so much when she was little. (Lily is the oldest). By the end of the photo shoot, she was asking me to take her picture! The pictures are on the campus of MUW, where their mom graduated from. They had so much fun playing ring around the rosies and splashing in the water. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them.

Jessica and Jay Grisham

These are my sweet friends Jessica and Jay. I first met Jess a few years ago at a camp Will led worship for. She is amazing and loves the word of God. Their wedding was 7/7/07 at 7am! It was scheduled to be outside, but it rained all night the night before. She called me that morning and said she wanted to play in the rain in her dress. We had the best time, although we were all soaking wet. As I drove home from the wedding, I thought, "It was perfect. That was Jessica." Enjoy the slideshow - of course, I had to use the song "Rain" by Delirious!

Amanda and Sterling

We took Amanda and Sterling's pictures in downtown Starkville - right outside this great restaurant Bin 612 that Amanda told me about. We just had fun walking around taking pictures, although it was extremely hot! Amanda just got a job teaching nutrition at the W in the fall...congrats!

Tre Davis

I had the opportunity to shoot a one month old little boy a few weeks ago. His dad, Scott, and I went to seminary. Scott and his wife Nikki live in Fayette, AL, which is only about 45 minutes from Will and me. Tre is precious. He has more hair than I've ever seen on a newborn!

Little Brinkley is due at the beginning of August. Mary Evelyn and Jason wanted to have a few pictures while Mary Evelyn is pregnant. They are such a sweet couple, and you can see how much they already love their unborn baby girl.

Amanda and Andrew's wedding

You may recognize this couple from their engagement pictures I posted a few months ago. Their wedding was at this beautiful church in Madison County, and the reception was at her grandfather's house on the reservoir.

Corrie and Jonathan

Corrie is a great friend from Jackson. She and Jonathan are getting married in August. They were so much fun to photograph! I can't wait for their wedding. One of my favorite pictures is of them dancing.

Sara Elizabeth and Grey

Sara Elizabeth and Grey Falanga were married May 19 at The Church in The Woods in Enterprise, MS. The church was beautiful, as you can see - SE's grandparents attend there. SE's veil was the train to her mother's wedding gown. It was perfect.
