Cassie, Ree and Sarah

I love these three girls. I posted this picture on my blog a few weeks ago from Ree's wedding. Ree, Cassie and Sarah were all friends in high school, and I photographed all three weddings. It has been so cool to be at all three weddings - I feel like I know them and all their friends!

This is a picture from Cassie and Richard's wedding. I had to include Richard because he says he "found" me!

This is one of Ree's bridal portraits in Natchez.

I love this picture of Sarah's eyes!

Thanks girls for allowing me to document your wedding day! Y'all are the best!

sarah and john

Sarah and John got married May 30 outside of Natchez at a beautiful old plantation home. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

The dress...

The rings...

The shoes...

John and Will were best friends by the end of the day!

Sarah's father passed away just over a year ago. These are both her parents wedding bands. She had them tied to her boquet. How sweet!

Sarah's friend/bridesmaid got this tattoo the day Sarah's dad passed away.

I loved all the details at their wedding. They had these candles hanging in the trees at the reception. It was beautiful!

Rachel and Shaun

I'm a bit behind in updating my blog. About a month ago, I had three weddings in one weekend. Yes, THREE! One Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And they were all over north MS and AL. Needless to say, I'm a bit behind in editing and posting. Rachel and Shaun got married on Sunday in Oxford. It turned out to be beautiful - just as she walked out, the sun came out.

If I were them, I'd have this picture huge in my house! I just love it.

It rained on and off all day long. About 30 minutes before the ceremony, it poured. Shaun realized their sand was still in the rain, so Rachel's brother ran to get it.

Just a couple of weeks after the wedding, Shaun's grandmother passed away. I love that I was able to capture this picture of the two of them.

Rachel and her dad were laughing at each other because they were both so teary eyed. Every time they looked at each other they would cry.

our anniversary

So this is a crazy story. The night Will and I got married, we stayed at the Sassafras Inn outside of Memphis. It is this great bed and breakfast that Will found. That night, I gave Will a journal. I wrote in the front of it, dated it, signed my name, etc. The day after our wedding, we flew to Jamaica and when we got home from our honeymoon, we couldn't find the journal. We just assumed we left it in Jamaica.

Fast forward to this Monday. Monday was our 7 year anniversary (that's crazy and amazing in and of itself, but that's not the story). So for our anniversary this year, I surprised Will and made reservations for us to stay at the Sassafras Inn (although I didn't keep the surprise for very long....I ended up telling him about three weeks ago). In a typical bed and breakfast, the innkeepers have a notebook of some sort in each room for guests to sign in and write about their stay. Will and I stayed in the Victorian Room, the same room we stayed in 7 years ago. No one was staying in the honeymoon cottage, so Eric, (who has only been the inn keeper for 4 years), showed it to us. Will picked up the leather notebook that they had for people to sign in, and IT WAS THE JOURNAL I GAVE WILL 7 YEARS AGO!!!!! It still had the note I wrote to him in it! Isn't that like a movie???

Now believe me, I wanted to take the journal home. I mean, I bought it and gave it to Will as a gift, right? But we decided to leave it there. Now there are 7 years of love stories written in it. So if you ever go to Memphis, stay at the Sassafras Inn in the Honeymoon Cottage and write in "our" notebook!

Reid Miller

My friend Erin told her friend Lauren about my photography. (Word of mouth is BY FAR the best form of advertising). I took pictures of Reid, Lauren's little boy when he was two weeks old. I love this first picture. I know one day he's going to grow up and not believe we put him on a shelf for a picture!

Peyton is the funniest little boy. He makes the cutest faces. His mom, Allison, is pregnant, so it was fun to get pictures of him with the baby. Although if you ask Peyton where the baby is, he pulls up his own shirt.
